Sanskruti School of Dance presented in Bharatanatyam style ‘An ode to a tree’. With this piece, the dance ensemble with its movement language described the importance of nature and the environment symbolized by a tree. Just as the branches and the leaves of the tree are free and yet dependent on the tree trunk, all creations of nature are inter-related with one another to co-exist in harmony. An ode to a tree is about maintaining this harmony, with human beings taking the responsibility to protect our planet the same way a tree trunk gives support to its numerous branches and foliage.
