Synopsis: A day of dance for everyone who want to understand nuances of Indian classical dance from Sandhyadipa Kar! The workshops described below are suitable for those new to Odissi, as well as dancers who already have an established practice (including Bhararatnatyam and other Indian classical dance forms).
The artist: Sandhyadipa Kar is from a family of renown artists of Odisha, India. Her grandfather, Pandit Khetramohan Kar was a noted Tabla-maestro of Puri and her father, Padmashree Shri Prafulla Kar is a well know music director, singer and lyricist.

Technique: Variations on the basic chowka and tribanghi steppings
Introducing different variations to to basic steps in order to enrich our regular practice with slight modifications to fully explore the Odissi fundamentals.
Navarasa: From the 9 emotions or expressions of the humours worked in the classic Indian dance, we will work the learning of several passages of the traditional items of Odissi, in order to realise an experience of each feeling or emotional principle that composes the universe of human existence.
