SANSKRUTI TEACHER APPRENTICES
Aadya Acharya
Aadya has been learning Bharatanatyam for nine years from her Guru Krishna Zivraj-Nair. She has completed my ISTD Grades 1-5 exams with distinction and currently working on Grade 6. Aadya has done many group and solo performances on stage as part of Sanskruti Cambridge Dance School, such as Big Weekend, U. Dance East and Sanskruti’s home production The Blue Avatar. Aadya’s personal vision for her dance school is to share the art of Bharatanatyam dance and aim not to just teach the techniques, but the cultural stories and the emotion of this incredible style of dance. By learning and now teaching this art form, Aadya hopes that we as a dance school can carry forward the traditions of Bharatanatyam. We wish to inspire others and help them nurture the beauty and discipline of this art form.
Elaanya Gunasekhar
Elaanya has been learning Bharatanatyam from Guru Krishna Zivraj-Nair at Sanskruti Cambridge since 2016. She enjoys Bharatanatyam and has recently started her teacher apprenticeship training with Sanskruti. She would love to continue teaching children and help them grow to be confident dancers. Her vision for Sanskruti is to one day have its own dance studio and she hopes to help organise small fundraisers to make this happen.
Manasi Kulkarni
Manasi has been a dancer at Sanskruti since 2017 and is currently preparing for ISTD Grade 6 examination. Manasi aspires to become a dance TA to teach other students and share her passion for dance while she continues to train herself. Manasi is keen to push herself to the limits and believes that the challenges and opportunities that come with working with Sanskruti will only further her growth as a dancer. With this opportunity, Manasi is hoping to make significant progress in her technique, style and artistry while she develops her teaching skills.
Sia Nair
Sia believes that her dance school Sanskruti Cambridge Dance School has given her a better understanding of the dance world and allows her to express herself through herface and body. Trained by her Guru and mother, Krishna Zivraj-Nair, Sia hopes to hone her skills as a dancer while developing her teaching skills.Sia’s vision for Sanskruti Cambridge is to see it become a place for everyone to express themselves. Sia wants it to be a place for people to just drop by at the studio when they are not in a great mood and dance their hearts out. Sia would like to see Sanskruti make a big dance festival in Cambridge (like Strawberry Fair) with lots of dance workshops, dance performances and also a place for people to learn about the history of Indian Dance. This Dance Festival is to bring everyone together to share the happiness within us.
